Annotation. The article presents a philosophical analysis of the image of a rap performer as a form of representation and transformation of values and social meanings in the context of contemporary cultural commercialization. It examines the institutionalization of rap culture and its integration into media and market mechanisms, within which the performer’s image is formed as a complex phenomenon. The article analyzes how the image functions as an independent mechanism for the fixation, circulation, and reproduction of values, ensuring their translation from individual experience into socially recognizable forms and forming a stable value vector through the repetition of symbolic elements. The article establishes that commercialization does not eliminate the value content of rap culture but transforms the forms of its expression by integrating them into industrial and symbolic codes of mass culture, which leads to the possibility of coexistence of contradictory value orientations within a single image. It concludes that the image of a rap performer constitutes an independent semantic construct reflecting the intersection of artistic, social, and commercial logics and requiring philosophical analysis.

Keywords: image, rap culture, cultural commercialization, values, social meanings, media representation.
